Purpose

Tato's Roofing LLC is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, subcontractors, customers, and visitors. Safety is a condition of employment and is the responsibility of every team member.

Compliance

All employees must comply with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Florida safety requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and company safety procedures.

Employee Responsibilities

Employees are required to:
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and near misses immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and only when properly trained.

Fall Protection

Because roofing work involves elevated surfaces, fall protection is mandatory.

Employees working at heights of six (6) feet or more must utilize approved fall protection systems, including but not limited to:

  • Safety harnesses and lifelines.
  • Guardrails.
  • Safety nets.
  • Anchors approved for roofing applications.
Employees are prohibited from working at heights without proper fall protection.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Required PPE may include:
  • Hard hats.
  • Safety glasses.
  • Work gloves.
  • High-visibility clothing.
  • Hearing protection.
  • Fall protection equipment.
  • Appropriate footwear.
Failure to wear required PPE may result in disciplinary action.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

Employees may not report to work or perform work while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or any substance that impairs their ability to perform duties safely.

Reporting Injuries

All injuries, regardless of severity, must be reported to management immediately and no later than the end of the work shift.

Stop Work Authority

Any employee who identifies an unsafe condition has the authority and responsibility to stop work and notify management immediately.

Disciplinary Action

Violation of safety policies may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
